The Prison Service Militarized Colonies, was created in September 1939, in order to use inmates in works of national utility. One of his major projects was the hydraulics work of Canal Bajo Guadalquivir, popularly known Channel Prisoners. Between 1940 and 1962, thanks to the labor of prisoners of war and reprisals politicians.
